An Insurance Plan for your Muscles

When you’re pushing yourself during training and racing, your muscles need a boosted supply of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) to help protect them from damage and to help rebuild. BCAAs are the building blocks of proteins, and your body can only get them from the foods you eat. BCAA Capsules may help maintain mental clarity, promote muscle recovery, and enhance muscle growth while you’re pushing your limits.† Each capsule delivers a 4:1:1 ratio of the three BCAAs (L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine) to help promote muscle recovery along with B Vitamins that can help facilitate amino acid metabolism and energy production during exercise.†

Any Time’s a Good Time to Protect Your Muscles

Taking ROCTANE BCAA Capsules before, during, or after any activity can prevent muscle damage, enhance muscle growth, and maintain mental clarity.†

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine) are the three essential amino acids which can help reduce muscle fatigue during exercise and speed recovery post exercise.† These building blocks of proteins can be found naturally in your daily diet and are essential to maintaining a positive balance between muscle damage and muscle repair.†

faq
  • What are BCAAs?

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, and proteins make up the structure of the body, including muscles. Amino acids are either produced in the body (“nonessential”), or they must be supplied from the diet (“essential”). BCAAs are essential amino acids, meaning they are not made in the body, yet they constitute more than one third of the protein found in human muscle tissue. Rich dietary sources of BCAAs can include dairy, egg, meat, poultry and fish.

  • Does GU Energy Labs put BCAAs in other products, too? Why?

Yes! We put BCAAs in all our products with the exception of our Hydration Tabs, ROCTANE Electrolyte, Magnesium and Probiotic Capsules.

Even the most committed athletes may not get enough BCAAs in their regular diet to help delay fatigue during extended exercise. And stopping fatigue during exercise means you can go stronger for longer.

We focus on two types of fatigue that can impact performance – “mental” and “muscular.” BCAA’s delay “mental fatigue” by competing with the amino acid tryptophan which is a precursor to serotonin, and serotonin creates sleepiness. “Muscular fatigue” is delayed because BCAAs are used as an additional energy source during prolonged exercise, when glycogen stores are becoming depleted.

  • Who is this product meant for?

This product is meant for anyone that wants to further support their energy and recovery efforts. As we know, BCAAs act as an additional energy source for the working muscles, has the properties to support muscle recovery, can improve VO2max, boost immunity and help you get more out of your workouts.

This is also a great product for the vegan or vegetarian athlete that cannot consume a whey protein recovery product but would like to get in more BCAAs.

  • What is the appropriate amount of BCAAs to take? And how do I take them?

As little as 1500mg can enhance muscle buildup and prevent muscle breakdown. You can take these anytime, however we recommend them primarily after exercise and especially on heavier training days.

  • What about vitamin B toxicity if I take too many capsules?

Not to worry. Vitamin B is a water-soluble vitamin, so any excess intake will be eliminated in your urine.

  • Can I take capsules during exercise?

Of course! And this will help performance if your nutrition during exercise does not contain BCAA.

  • Are BCAAs safe for children?

Yes, it is safe for children.

  • Are BCAAs gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and kosher certified?

Yes, to all of the above!
